If you want mobile personal training in San Diego, the directory lists more than a dozen trainers who come to you: to your living room, garage, office, a park or the beach. They are spread across North County, the City of San Diego and East County, and several also coach online, so you can mix home sessions with video check-ins.
The first thing to settle is who brings the equipment and where you will train. Some trainers arrive with a full kit, others work with what you already own. Ask which one applies, how far the trainer travels from their base, and what happens in bad weather if you pick an outdoor spot. Those three answers narrow the list quickly.
Mobile personal training in North County
North County has the most trainers who travel, and the coastal towns sit close together, so the drive rarely matters.
- Anywhere Gym is a private studio in Carlsbad that also brings sessions across North County. Its listing says the mobile side takes equipment to homes, offices, garages, parks and beaches, and that small-group boot camps are available too.
- Concierge Personal Training is a mobile-only service based in Carlsbad and operating since 2016. Its listing describes one-on-one sessions at clients' homes throughout the county, with a focus on senior fitness and balance work, shaped around the space and equipment you have.
- Mel Daly trains mostly women in their homes across Carlsbad, South Oceanside, Encinitas and North County. Her listing also mentions online coaching and weekly beach fitness sessions.
- Russian Personal Trainer is a mobile, private service in North County. Sessions happen at home, outdoors or in a private gym, and the listing says equipment is provided.
- OmniFit Performance is aimed at working professionals. It offers one-on-one sessions at Teqneeq in 4S Ranch, in-home sessions and a short virtual session, and it starts with movement and posture assessments.
In-home and mobile trainers in the City of San Diego
Here the choice leans toward trainers who will meet you at home or outdoors and who also work online.
- Body By Dave Fitness is a mobile and online business that has operated since 2009. Sessions are one-on-one, partner or small group, at your home or workplace, outdoors at Kate Sessions Park, or by video.
- GDO FIT brings equipment to homes, parks and the beach. It also hosts a weekly Saturday group workout at PB Shore Club in Pacific Beach, which gives you a way to try the coaching style before booking one-on-one time.
- San Diego Fit trains on Garnet Avenue and in clients' homes around Pacific Beach, La Jolla and Clairemont. Boxing and self-defense are on its list of services.
- Gains with Sean offers one-on-one training in a studio, at your home or virtually across coastal San Diego, with Olympic lifting among its programs.
- Nowland Performance offers private in-home sessions alongside one-on-one and semi-private training and online coaching, for executives, athletes and general fitness clients.
- Iron Rhino Fitness is based in Carmel Valley and serves the Del Mar area with in-home, one-on-one, semi-private and online training, starting with an initial evaluation session.
If you would rather train close to the water, see where to train in Pacific Beach.
Mobile trainers in East County
East County is a longer drive from the coast, which makes a trainer who comes to you more appealing.
- Optimum Condition moved from an El Cajon studio to concierge in-home training in 2025, and serves East County. The listing mentions strength, mobility and stability work and app-supported coaching.
- Violante Personal Training is a mobile service based around La Mesa and serving the wider San Diego area, with individualized one-on-one sessions.
- Workout With Kirk works mainly with adults from about 40 upward, with one-on-one and small-group sessions by appointment, including mobile visits.
What to ask before you book
- Where do sessions happen? Home, garage, a nearby park or a private gym can all be called "mobile". Confirm the exact setup.
- What equipment comes with the trainer? If you have little space, ask what a session looks like in a small room.
- What is the travel area? A trainer based in Carlsbad may be happy to reach Encinitas but not Chula Vista. Ask before you assume.
- What does it cost, and is travel included? The directory does not list prices, so ask for the full figure for a single session and for a package.
- How do you handle cancellations? With a trainer driving to you, the policy matters on both sides.
- Is there a first session to see if it fits? Several of these trainers start with an assessment or an evaluation, which is a good way to test the fit.
If you are still deciding whether one-on-one coaching is the right format at all, how to choose a personal trainer in San Diego walks through the questions in more detail.
